How to read this table
The table above puts every broker in our English edition on the same seven criteria. Figures come from each broker’s official pages; each broker’s review links the pages we used.
- Max leverage is the highest-tier account. Most brokers cut it by account type, instrument or equity.
- Licence shows the entity that serves international clients. Where a broker lists licences across its group, we mark them “(group)”, and your client agreement names the company that holds your account.
- Highlighted cells show the best value in a row only when every broker in it has a comparable figure.
Who leads on each criterion
| If you care most about | Leaders | Full comparison |
|---|---|---|
| Max leverage | Vantage (unlimited, small balances), FXGT (5,000:1, Optimus account) | High leverage brokers |
| Minimum deposit | Titan FX (Zero Micro), FXGT, XS.com, BigBoss, HFM: no minimum; XM: $5 | Low deposit brokers |
| Negative balance protection | All except Axi | Negative balance protection |
| Low spreads | Exness (EUR/USD about 0.8 pips), XS.com (1.1), Titan FX (1.2) | Spreads compared |
| ECN account | Exness, Titan FX, XS.com, HFM, Vantage, FXGT, BigBoss | ECN brokers |
| Deposit bonus | BigBoss (up to $13,840), Vantage (100% first deposit), FXGT (25% per deposit), HFM (20%), XM | Deposit bonuses |
Spreads sit on their own page because a fair comparison needs both the spread-only and raw accounts: spreads compared.
Broker-by-broker caveats
- XM: international clients are served by XM Global Limited, licensed by the FSC in Belize (8557558). Japan-resident clients use XMTrading, a different entity with different terms. → XM review
- Titan FX: 2,000:1 is the Zero Micro account; Zero Standard and Zero Blade go to 1,000:1 on major FX pairs.
- XS.com: 2,000:1 is dynamic, falling as equity or lot size grows. www.xs.com is operated by XS Ltd (Seychelles FSA SD089); the group’s ASIC and CySEC licences belong to other companies.
- Exness: 2,000:1, or unlimited on equity under $5,000 after 10 closed orders totalling 5 lots. Your registered region decides which group company holds your account.
- Vantage: unlimited leverage needs the Premium Unlimited account, equity under $5,000 and 10 trades and 3 lots within a year.
- HFM: the FCA and CySEC licences belong to HFM’s UK and EU companies; international clients deal with an offshore group company, whose terms (2,000:1, bonus account) differ from the EU site’s.
What an offshore licence protects: the broker is supervised and you have a regulator to complain to. What it doesn’t: you are usually outside tier-1 compensation schemes such as the UK FSCS. Test a small withdrawal before funding properly — see our scam check.

Frequently asked questions
Where do the numbers come from?
From each broker's official website and regulators' pages, and for spreads, from typical averages reported by review sites where a broker doesn't publish its own. Each broker's review links the pages behind its figures.
Does a dash mean the broker doesn't offer that feature?
No. A dash means there's no comparable figure for that broker in the table; it doesn't mean the feature is missing. The broker's review has the detail.
Which broker is best overall?
It depends on what you need. Our overall order and how it is set are on the [ranking page](/en/ranking/); comparisons by need are linked under 'By need' below.
Are these brokers regulated in the UK, EU or Australia?
Most clients outside the EU are served by offshore entities, even when the group also holds a tier-1 licence. An offshore licence gives less protection than the FCA, CySEC or ASIC. See [offshore vs regulated brokers](/en/guides/domestic-vs-offshore/).
