Privacy policy

Updated 4 November 2026 · By Broker Atlas editorial team

Short answer

Broker Atlas collects personal data only when you submit a review or send us a message with the contact form. For a review we keep the review itself, the display name and optional details you enter, and a salted hash of your IP address used to limit repeat posting (the IP address itself is not stored). We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and builds no personal profile, and we set no cookies of our own. The site is hosted on Vercel, and the economic calendar page loads a TradingView widget. Messages are kept until they are handled and deleted after a year at the latest. You can ask us to delete your review or message at any time.

This policy explains what data Broker Atlas handles and why. It describes how the site works today; we will update it when that changes. It is written in plain language and is not legal advice. The site operator should have it reviewed by a qualified adviser for the laws that apply to them.

Who is responsible

Broker Atlas is responsible for the personal data described on this page. For any privacy question or request, use the contact form.

Reading the site

You can read every page without an account and without giving us any personal data.

  • Visit counts without cookies. We use Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages are read and from which countries. It sets no cookies and builds no profile of you: a visitor is recognised for one day only, by a code made from the request that Vercel discards after 24 hours. It records the page, the referring site, the country, and the browser, operating system and device type. We do not use Google Analytics or any advertising tracker.
  • No cookies of our own. The site does not set cookies or store data in your browser.
  • Hosting. The site is hosted on Vercel. As with any web host, Vercel processes technical request data, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and protect the service, and may keep server logs under its own policy.
  • Broker links. Links to brokers go through /go/<broker>/ on our site and then to the broker. Once you are on the broker’s site, its own privacy policy applies, and the broker may record that you came from Broker Atlas. See our advertising disclosure.

Visitor reviews

If you submit a review on a broker page, we store:

Data Required? Shown publicly after approval?
Broker and language edition Set by the page Yes
Rating (1–5) and review text Yes Yes
Title Optional Yes
Display name Yes Yes
Country Optional Yes
Account type Optional Yes
Year you started trading Optional No
Date and time submitted Automatic Date only
Salted hash of your IP address Automatic No
Moderation status and moderator’s note Set by us No

Your IP address is not stored. The server turns it into a salted hash, a one-way code that cannot be read back as an address, and uses that code only to enforce posting limits: three reviews a day and one review per broker every 30 days. Please do not put your real name, email address or account number in a review; use a display name instead.

Moderation. Every review is stored as pending and is not shown until a moderator approves it. Submissions that look automated are discarded without being stored. Reviews with several links are marked as spam, and promotional or abusive reviews are rejected; neither is published. Rejected and spam reviews stay in our database, unpublished. Approved reviews appear on the broker’s page after the site is next rebuilt. We cannot verify what reviews say.

Where it is kept. Reviews are stored in a data file in the site’s private storage on Vercel, and approved reviews are included in the published pages.

Deleting your review. Use the contact form and give the broker, the display name you used and roughly when you posted. We will delete the review from the site and from our database. We may need a detail from the review to be sure it is yours.

Third-party content

The economic calendar page loads a calendar widget directly from TradingView. When that page opens, your browser connects to TradingView’s servers, and TradingView may collect technical data or set cookies under its own privacy policy. Other pages do not load this widget.

Links to brokers, regulators and other sites take you to sites whose privacy practices we do not control.

Contact form

If you write to us with the contact form, we store the topic you chose, your message, your email address, and your name and the page address if you give them, with the date and the language edition. We also keep a salted hash of your IP address for 30 days to limit repeat sending (five messages a day); the address itself is not stored.

We use these details only to read and answer your message. They are kept in the site’s private storage on Vercel, are never published, and are deleted once they are no longer needed, after a year at the latest. Please do not send passwords, card numbers, account numbers or identity documents.

Your requests

You can ask us what review data we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it, through the contact form. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local data protection law, and you may be able to complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If we add analytics, advertising, a newsletter or any other new use of personal data, we will update this page before it starts and change the date at the top.

Frequently asked questions

Do you use cookies or analytics?

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, and we set no cookies of our own. The economic calendar page loads a widget from TradingView, which may set its own cookies under TradingView's policy.

Do you store my IP address when I post a review?

No. We store a salted hash of it, a one-way code used only to apply posting limits (three reviews a day, one per broker every 30 days). The IP address itself is not saved.

Will my review be public?

Only after a moderator approves it. Then the rating, title, text, display name, and the country and account type if you gave them, are shown with the date.

How do I get my review deleted?

Write to us through the contact page with the broker, the display name you used and roughly when you posted. We will remove it from the site and our database.
