Short answer

Broker Atlas compares offshore forex brokers for readers in Japanese, Korean, English, Thai, Malay and Indonesian, using the conditions brokers publish and the licences shown on regulators' registers, with every fact recorded with its source, and gives each broker an Broker Atlas score. It is independent of any broker and funded by affiliate commissions; who runs it is set out below.

What Broker Atlas is

Broker Atlas is a comparison site for offshore forex and CFD brokers. It has six editions, Japanese, Korean, English, Thai, Malay and Indonesian, because the same brand often serves each market through a different company with different conditions. For example, XM serves Japan through XMTrading and English-speaking readers through XM Global in Belize, and our pages describe whichever company would actually hold your account.

We cover the brokers’ licences, account types, leverage, minimum deposits, negative balance protection, bonus rules, deposit and withdrawal methods and the risks a reader should know before opening an account. Start with the ranking, the comparison tables or the broker reviews.

How we work

  • Every fact keeps its source. Facts come from brokers’ own pages, regulators’ registers and government sources; where those can’t be read, we use the value most reputable broker directories and broker media agree on. See how we research.
  • No guessing. Where we found no credible figure, the table shows a dash (—).
  • No first-hand testing claims. We do not open accounts, deposit or withdraw, and we never present published figures as our own measurements.
  • Calculated scores can’t be bought. The Broker Atlas score is calculated from published conditions with the same rules for every broker (apart from the featured broker, whose overall rating is set by our editors and labelled “Editorial rating”). The featured broker shown first in lists is chosen by us and labelled “Featured”. See the editorial policy.

Who runs it

The site is funded by affiliate commissions from brokers, as set out in our advertising disclosure. Broker Atlas is not a broker, does not hold client money and is not authorised to give investment advice.

Risk warning

CFDs and leveraged forex are high-risk products, and offshore brokers are regulated more lightly than brokers in the UK, EU or Australia. Read what a licence does and doesn’t protect and only trade with money you can afford to lose.
