Short answer

Free calculators for planning a trade before you place it: margin, lot and position size, pip value, profit, swap, margin level, stop-out price, effective leverage, rebates and compounding, plus an economic calendar. Each one shows its formula and two worked examples you can reproduce, and runs in your browser.

The tools are for anyone trading forex or gold CFDs on MT4 or MT5, whether with an offshore or a regulated broker. Results are in US dollars and assume standard contract sizes (100,000 units, or 100 oz for gold), so check your account’s symbol specification if you trade cent or micro accounts.

If you’re not sure where to start, follow a trade from idea to risk:

  1. Size it from your risk with the position size calculator, or from a cash limit with the lot size calculator.
  2. Check the margin it locks with the margin calculator and how far it can run before a stop-out with the stop-out level calculator.
  3. Check the economic calendar for releases that could gap your stop.
