Verdict

easyMarkets is a long-standing brand with an EU-licensed company and an offshore company for everyone else. For international readers, its appeal is predictable costs: spreads are fixed, there are no commissions, and negative balance protection is standard on every account.

Good for

  • Beginners who want fixed, easy-to-read costs from a $25 card deposit
  • Traders who like TradingView or a simple proprietary platform alongside MT4 and MT5
  • Anyone who wants a deposit bonus without signing up for a high-leverage specialist

Not for

  • Scalpers chasing raw spreads: there’s no ECN or raw-spread account
  • Copy traders: easyMarkets doesn’t offer copy trading
  • Small-balance testers who want a cent account

Company and licence

Company Regulator Serves
EF Worldwide Ltd FSA Seychelles (listed as securities dealer; licence SD056 per easyMarkets) International clients
Easy Forex Trading Ltd CySEC, licence 079/07 EU clients
Easy Markets Pty Ltd Australia Australian clients

EF Worldwide Ltd is on the Seychelles FSA’s securities dealer list with the trade name easyMarkets, and easyMarkets’ sign-up information also names a British Virgin Islands registration.

What the Seychelles licence does and doesn’t protect. The FSA licenses and supervises securities dealers and can sanction them, but Seychelles has no investor compensation scheme comparable to the EU’s or the UK’s, and no EU-style leverage cap. The CySEC company’s protections apply only to that company’s clients. Background: FSA Seychelles, offshore vs regulated brokers.

Accounts and costs

Account Minimum deposit Pricing
Standard $25 by card ($100 by bank transfer) Fixed spreads, no commission
Premium $2,000 Fixed spreads, no commission
VIP $10,000 Fixed spreads, no commission

On the Standard account, EUR/USD is fixed at about 0.9 pips on easyMarkets’ own platform and 0.7 on MT4, and gold at about $0.42 ($0.38 on MT4), according to BrokersProfile’s review. Fixed spreads don’t widen with the market, which makes costs easy to plan, but at 0.9 pips they cost more than the all-in price of a raw account at most rivals. Islamic (swap-free) versions of Standard and Premium are available on request.

Leverage: up to 2,000:1 for eligible non-EU clients; the limits most often cited in practice are 400:1 on MT4 and 200:1 on MT5. Negative balance protection applies to every account, so you can’t lose more than your balance.

Platforms and tools: easyMarkets’ web and mobile platform, MT4, MT5 and TradingView. EAs run on MT4 and MT5, though easyMarkets’ own deal-cancellation and freeze-rate tools aren’t available through them. Crypto CFDs (around 19) and share CFDs (about 65) sit alongside FX.

Funding and withdrawals

Deposits and withdrawals use cards, bank transfer, Skrill and Neteller, with local bank transfer in some regions, and most methods carry no easyMarkets fee. Withdrawals reach cards in 1–5 business days and bank accounts in 2–7 business days; e-wallets are usually faster, according to TradeTheDay. Pay from accounts in your own name.

Bonus

easyMarkets offers a first-deposit bonus of up to $2,000, with eligibility set through an account manager, plus a small welcome gift for verifying your phone number. There’s no no-deposit bonus. Read how withdrawals affect the bonus before accepting it: how bonus rules work.

Risks to weigh

  • Offshore company: an international account with EF Worldwide Ltd doesn’t get CySEC’s leverage caps, compensation fund or EU complaint routes. Your recourse is the company itself and the Seychelles regulator.
  • Fixed spreads cut both ways: predictable in quiet markets, but dearer than raw pricing for active traders.
  • Leverage varies by platform: check the figure for your account and platform before sizing positions.

Before you sign up

  1. Read the client agreement and note which company and licence number it names.
  2. Check that company on the Seychelles FSA’s register, and that the website domain matches.
  3. Confirm the leverage and bonus shown for your account in the client area.
  4. Deposit a small amount and test a withdrawal before adding more.

If the client agreement names a company other than EF Worldwide Ltd, or a domain other than the one you signed up on, stop and check before you fund the account. Fake sites that copy well-known broker brands are common, and a mismatch between the company name, the licence and the domain is the clearest warning sign. Our scam check guide lists the others.

Bottom line

easyMarkets’ international company is a real, Seychelles-listed securities dealer with simple, fixed-spread accounts, negative balance protection and a modest bonus. It suits traders who value predictable costs over the lowest possible spread. Compare it with other brokers: broker ranking, safest brokers.
