Verdict: maximum leverage and a wide product range

FXGT stands out for very high leverage (up to 5,000:1) and for putting forex, crypto CFDs and stock CFDs in one place. It also has an ECN account, swap-free trading and copy trading.

Read the small print, though. FXGT states that trading conditions, promotions and account types vary by country. We checked its global site; the terms you’re offered at sign-up are the ones that apply to you.

Good for

  • Traders who want very high leverage on small balances
  • Anyone trading both forex and crypto CFDs
  • ECN traders

Not for

  • Bonus users on raw-spread accounts: the 25% loyalty bonus covers Mini and Standard+ only
  • Beginners who don’t yet manage position size carefully

Account types

FXGT lists five accounts: Standard, Optimus, Low Spread, Mini (described as great for beginners) and ECN Zero (described as ideal for short-term trades). Its homepage shows two headline conditions:

  • 1000:1 leverage with a $0 minimum balance
  • 5,000:1 leverage with a $100 minimum balance

A swap-free option is available.

About 5000:1 leverage

At 5000:1, $100 of margin controls a $500,000 position, and a 0.02% move against you wipes out that margin. Leverage is a ceiling, not a target: size positions from the loss you can accept. Our margin calculator helps, and high-leverage brokers lists the alternatives.

Companies and licences

Retail clients are served by GT Global Ltd (Seychelles FSA, licence SD019). The group also includes GT IO Markets (Pty) Ltd (South Africa FSCA) and GT Markets Capital Ltd (Mauritius FSC). GT Global Markets Ltd (Vanuatu VFSC) states it serves eligible counterparties only, not retail clients.

Funding and withdrawals

FXGT lists cards, e-wallets and bank wire transfers for deposits, with the methods available depending on your region, and says deposits are instant for most methods. It processes withdrawal requests 24/7 and returns money to the original deposit source first. E-wallets usually pay out within 24–48 hours and cards in 2–5 business days; fees for your method show in the Client Portal before you confirm. Details: FXGT deposits and FXGT withdrawals.

Risks and open questions

  • Regional terms: FXGT says conditions, promotions and account types vary by country, so what you see in the Client Portal is what applies to you.
  • Offshore protection: GT Global Ltd’s licence is from the Seychelles FSA. The South African and Mauritius companies are separate, and the Vanuatu company doesn’t serve retail clients.
  • 5,000:1 conditions: the maximum needs equity under $1,000 and a trading history (5 GT lots and 8 closed trades) on the Optimus account. Margin is small at that level, but losses per pip are set by your position size.
  • Withdrawal fees: not stated on FXGT’s public pages; the Client Portal shows them per method.

FXGT lists negative balance protection, so a fast move shouldn’t leave you owing money.

Bottom line

FXGT is the pick for traders who want the highest leverage we’ve confirmed and FX, crypto and stock CFDs on one account. Keep position sizes modest, check your region’s terms in the portal, and test a withdrawal early. If you’re new to high leverage, try the Mini account first: its 10,000-unit lots make each pip worth a tenth of a standard lot, so mistakes cost far less while you learn how quickly high-leverage positions move. Read the risks section above before you fund the account.
