Updated 2 November 2026 · Written by Broker Atlas Comparisons Desk · Data checked by Broker Atlas Data Desk

Short answer

Copy trading is offered by XM, Exness, Vantage, HFM (HFcopy), Titan FX (Titan FX Social), XS.com, FXGT, Axi and EBC. For a small start, FXGT says you can begin with as little as $10, and XM has a $5 minimum deposit. A strategy's past returns don't predict future ones, so start with a small allocation and a loss limit.

How to read the table

The table lists every broker we cover that offers copy trading, with its platforms and minimum deposit. What sets the main ones apart:

Broker What stands out
FXGT Start with as little as $10; switch between copier and strategy provider; strategy histories and risk controls
XM $5 minimum; negative balance protection
Exness Lowest average spreads in our table, which copied trades pay too
HFM HFcopy in the app and client area; $0 minimum
Titan FX Titan FX Social; no minimum on Zero Micro
Vantage Copy trading alongside a 100% first-deposit bonus
XS.com Copy trading on its Professional accounts

Choosing a copy trading broker

  1. Minimum to start: copying scales the provider’s lots to your balance, so small accounts need a low ratio.
  2. Risk controls: can you cap losses per strategy? FXGT says you can set risk controls.
  3. Negative balance protection: a safety net if a provider blows up (comparison).
  4. Withdrawals: test a small one before scaling up.

Our copy trading guide covers how it works and the pitfalls.

Worked example: allocation and drawdown

If you allocate $500 to a strategy whose worst historical drawdown was 30%, expect that allocation to fall to around $350 at some point, and a future drawdown can be deeper than any in the record. A stop-copy loss limit at 20% caps the damage at $100, at the cost of sometimes exiting just before a recovery. Decide the limit before you start, not during a losing streak. Our copy trading guide covers the other metrics to compare.

Frequently asked questions

Can beginners make money copy trading?

There's no guarantee. If the strategy loses, your account loses in proportion. Look at maximum drawdown, not just returns.

Can I share my own strategy and earn from it?

FXGT says you can switch between copier and strategy provider. Check each broker's terms for how providers are paid.

Is copy trading regulated differently?

The trades sit in your own account at the broker, so the broker's licence is what protects you. Offshore entities usually offer no tier-1 compensation scheme.

What should I look at before copying a trader?

Track-record length, maximum drawdown, number of trades and typical position size, ahead of headline return. A short history with high returns may just reflect a lucky run. Start with a small allocation and a loss limit, and review it regularly.
