Exness suits traders who want trading conditions rather than promotions: leverage up to "unlimited" for eligible accounts under $5,000 of equity, a 0% stop-out, negative balance protection and automatic withdrawals 24/7. It offers no bonuses of any kind. Its offshore business runs through several licensed companies (Seychelles FSA, BVI FSC, FSC Belize, FSC Mauritius, CBCS Curaçao), and which one you contract with depends on your country.

Verdict: strong conditions, no bonus, offshore protection
Exness competes on trading conditions. Its pages advertise leverage up to “unlimited”, a 0% stop-out on all account types, negative balance protection and automatic withdrawals 24/7. In return there is nothing to claim: Exness says plainly that it does not offer bonuses.
The other thing to weigh is the licence. The companies that serve offshore clients are licensed in the Seychelles, the British Virgin Islands, Belize, Mauritius and Curaçao. Those licences do not give you the protections of a UK or EU regulator.
Good for
- Traders who want high leverage on a small account and accept the risk
- Anyone who prefers no bonus strings attached to their balance
- Traders who withdraw often and value automatic processing
Not for
- Traders who want a deposit or no-deposit bonus
- Anyone who needs the protection of a top-tier regulator
- Residents of the USA, Canada, the UK, the EU and other excluded countries
Company and licence
Exness’s global site lists five companies that operate under the brand: Exness (SC) Ltd (Seychelles FSA, licence SD025; also authorised as an over-the-counter derivatives provider by South Africa’s FSCA), Exness B.V. (Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten, 0003LSI), Exness (VG) Ltd (BVI FSC, SIBA/L/20/1133), Forexite Ltd (FSC Belize, 9110312) and Exness (MU) Ltd (FSC Mauritius, GB20025294). Exness’s help centre says the footer of your Personal Area shows which company your account is registered to, and that your registered region can’t be changed later.
What this means in practice: an offshore licence confirms the company is registered and supervised in that jurisdiction, but offshore regulators generally don’t run compensation schemes like the UK’s FSCS. Exness says client funds are segregated in tier-1 banks, and as a Financial Commission member its clients can claim up to €20,000 from that body’s compensation fund if Exness doesn’t honour a dispute ruling. That is a private dispute scheme, not a government guarantee. Details are on our Exness safety page; for how licences differ, see forex licences explained.
Accounts and costs
| Account | Spread from | Commission | Stop-out |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard / Standard Cent | 0.2 pips | None | 0% |
| Pro | 0.1 pips | None | 0% |
| Zero | 0 (top 30 instruments) | From $0.05 per side per lot | 0% |
| Raw Spread | 0 pips | Up to $3.50 per side per lot | 0% |
Standard accounts need only the payment method’s minimum; the professional accounts (Pro, Zero, Raw Spread) need a first deposit of at least $200, depending on region. Exness publishes “from” spreads, not averages, and says spreads widen around news and market opens. See Exness account types and Exness spreads.
Leverage. “Unlimited” applies only if your equity is under $5,000 and you’ve closed at least 10 orders totalling 5 lots, and only on eligible instruments. Otherwise the cap is 2,000:1 up to $29,999 of equity, 1:1000 up to $99,999 and 1:500 above that, with temporary cuts around high-impact news and the weekend. Clients of Exness’s Kenyan company are capped at 1:400. Full rules: Exness leverage.
Opening an account and platforms
You register with an email address and a mobile number from your country of residence, complete an economic profile, then verify with a proof of identity (passport, national ID or driving licence) and a proof of address (utility bill, bank statement or official letter, issued within six months). Exness says document checks can take up to 24 hours. The region you register from decides your company and payment methods, and can’t be changed later. Step by step: opening an Exness account.
Exness supports MT4, MT5, the Exness Terminal web platform and the Exness Trade app. Swap-free trading is available on most popular instruments, subject to its terms.
Funding and withdrawals
Exness shows deposit and withdrawal methods by registered region in the Personal Area, with each method’s time, fees and limits. It says it charges no deposit or withdrawal commission, but may charge fees on accounts with no trading activity. Withdrawals go only to accounts in your own name and are limited to your free margin. Most are approved automatically; anything not instant is processed within 24 hours. See Exness deposits and Exness withdrawals.
Bonus
None. Exness’s FAQ answers “Does Exness offer any bonuses?” with “No”. Exness Rewards is a loyalty programme for selected clients with benefits such as priority support. Sites advertising an “Exness free bonus” are not describing an Exness promotion (no-deposit bonus page). If you want a bonus, compare deposit bonus brokers.
Risks and open questions
- Japan: the FSA’s list of warned unregistered overseas firms includes Nymstar Limited, warned in April 2023 for soliciting under the service name “Exness”. See forex brokers in Japan.
- India: the RBI’s Alert List of entities not authorised to deal in forex includes Exness.
- Which company serves you depends on your country and isn’t shown before registration. Check the Personal Area footer.
- Country access: Exness says its companies don’t serve the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe, the UK, Russia, Belarus “and others”. It doesn’t publish a full list; the registration form shows whether your country is accepted.
- Payment methods vary by country: cards, crypto (USDT, BTC, ETH, USDC) and e-wallets such as Skrill, Neteller and STICPAY are common, and the Personal Area shows your list after registration.
- Per-instrument spreads (USD/JPY, Bitcoin) aren’t published on the account pages; gold averages about $0.16 on the Standard account in Myforex’s gold spread comparison.
- High leverage cuts both ways. A 0% stop-out means positions run until equity is gone; negative balance protection stops losses going below zero, not losing your deposit.
Bottom line
Exness is a fit if you want high leverage, fast automated withdrawals and no bonus conditions, and you accept offshore-level protection. Compare it with Exness vs XM or Exness vs Vantage, or see all high-leverage brokers.
