Axi's international clients deal with AxiTrader LLC, registered in St Vincent and the Grenadines (4303 LLC 2025). Axi states plainly that SVG clients are not covered by negative balance protection. The group's regulated companies (CySEC in the EU, an FCA-registered UK firm) serve other clients. External protection for SVG clients is limited to Financial Commission membership, with awards up to €20,000. We have no withdrawal record of our own: we did not open an account.
The companies
| Company | Where | Status (as stated) | Who it serves |
|---|---|---|---|
| AxiTrader LLC | St Vincent and the Grenadines | “Registered by FSA”, company 4303 LLC 2025 | International clients (Axi’s global help centre) |
| Solaris EMEA Ltd | Cyprus | CySEC licence 433/23 | EU clients (axi-solaris.com/eu) |
| Axi Financial Services (UK) Limited | United Kingdom | On the FCA register, FRN 466201 | UK clients |
The FCA register also lists an older company, AxiCorp Limited (FRN 509746), as no longer authorised. If you see that name in old material, it isn’t a current UK licence.
Which company you sign with is shown in the client agreement during your application. Check the name before you deposit.
What the SVG registration does and doesn’t protect
Axi’s own words matter here. It calls the SVG company registered, not authorised and regulated, and its negative balance article says:
“Axi clients trading under an SVG license are NOT covered by negative balance protection.”
So, as an international client:
- No negative balance protection. Slippage, a weekend gap, swaps or index dividend adjustments can push you below zero, and Axi expects you to pay it back. A negative balance on any account also blocks withdrawals from all your accounts until it’s settled.
- No statutory compensation scheme is mentioned for SVG clients. EU and UK schemes cover clients of the CySEC and FCA companies only.
- No leverage cap from a regulator; Axi sets your maximum by country, up to 1,000:1.
What you do get: Axi’s membership of the Financial Commission, which runs a free external dispute process. Its compensation fund pays only if a member refuses to follow a ruling, up to €20,000 per client. It’s a private body, not a regulator. More: offshore vs regulated brokers, fund protection.
How Axi operates
- Execution: Axi says it’s a non-dealing desk broker that gets prices from liquidity providers.
- History: founded in Sydney in 2007, with offices in the UK, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
- Stop-out: positions start closing at a 20% margin level on MT4/MT5 and 50% on the Axi app.
- Third-party payments: refused. Deposits and withdrawals must use accounts in your own name.
Our withdrawal record
We haven’t opened an Axi account, deposited or withdrawn, so we have no withdrawal record of our own. What we can report is Axi’s published rule set: processing within 24–48 hours, no withdrawal fees and return to source first. Details: Axi withdrawals.
What Axi doesn’t publish for SVG clients
- A supervising authority: AxiTrader LLC holds a company registration in St Vincent and the Grenadines, and Axi names no SVG regulator overseeing its trading business.
- How SVG client money is held: Axi’s help centre doesn’t describe segregation or banks for the SVG company.
- These gaps are why the Financial Commission membership above is the only external route for SVG clients.
Practical steps
- Read the client agreement and note the company name before funding.
- Keep leverage and position size small enough that a gap can’t take you below zero. See margin level.
- Withdraw a small amount once early to learn the process.

Frequently asked questions
Is Axi regulated?
The group is. The company that serves international clients, AxiTrader LLC, is described by Axi as registered in St Vincent and the Grenadines; Axi does not describe it as authorised and regulated in the way its CySEC company (licence 433/23) is.
Can I lose more than my deposit with Axi?
Yes. Axi's help centre says clients trading under its SVG licence are not covered by negative balance protection and are liable for all losses, including any negative balance.
Is Axi a market maker?
Axi says it is a non-dealing desk broker that doesn't make its own prices; pricing comes from liquidity providers. Its servers are in Equinix NY4, New York.
What can I do if I have a dispute with Axi?
Use Axi's internal complaints process first. Axi is a member of the Financial Commission, an external dispute body whose compensation fund can award up to €20,000 per client if a member ignores a ruling.
