To open an Axi account: fill in the form on Axi's site, verify your email, complete the online application and upload a government photo ID (passport, national ID or driving licence) plus a selfie. Proof of address may also be requested. Axi says electronic checks take minutes; manual checks take 1–2 business days. Until you're verified, deposits are capped at $5,000 and withdrawals are blocked. Residents of the US, Israel, Ukraine, Russia, SVG and others can't apply.

Axi’s restricted list includes Afghanistan, American Samoa, Belarus, Burundi, the DR Congo, Cuba, Djibouti, Haiti, Iran, Israel, North Korea, Libya, the Maldives, Micronesia, Myanmar, Palestine, Russia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Somalia, South Sudan, Syria, Ukraine, the United States and US Virgin Islands, Vanuatu and Wallis and Futuna. Don’t pick another country to get through: Axi may close the account.
- Have your ID ready and, ideally, a recent document showing your address.
- Know which company you’ll sign with. International clients deal with AxiTrader LLC in St Vincent and the Grenadines, which has no negative balance protection: is Axi safe?
Five steps
From Axi’s account-opening article:
- Start the application. Click “Open Account” on Axi’s site and enter your details. Tick the privacy consent; marketing emails are optional.
- Verify your email using the link Axi sends.
- Complete the online form, the longer application with your personal and financial details.
- Verify your identity. In the Axi app: “Start ID Verification”, choose passport, national ID or driving licence, photograph it in the frame, then take a selfie looking straight at the camera.
- Wait for approval and your login details. Electronic checks usually take minutes; manual reviews 1–2 business days. Your MT4/MT5 login arrives by email, so check spam for the welcome email.

Why verification gets rejected or stalls
From Axi’s verification article:
- Missing documents. Proof of identity is required; proof of address may be added.
- Image quality: blurred, black-and-white, cropped or flash-lit photos stop the automatic check.
- Manual review adds 1–2 business days.
- Extra documents. Depending on your circumstances, your account manager may contact you for more.
Until you’re verified, deposits are limited to $5,000 and you can’t withdraw, including profits.
Which account to pick
