LandPrime's website is operated by Land Prime Ltd, authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius as a Global Business and Investment Dealer (licence GB24203734). A sister company, Land Prime (SVG), is an International Business Company in St Vincent and the Grenadines, which is a registration, not a forex licence. All accounts have negative balance protection and a 30% stop-out. A Mauritius licence means real supervision, but no EU-style compensation scheme or leverage caps.
Who you’d be dealing with
From the footer of LandPrime’s English site, read on 2 November 2026:
| Company | Status | Number |
|---|---|---|
| Land Prime Ltd | Authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius as a licensed Global Business and Investment Dealer | GB24203734 |
| Land Prime (SVG) | Incorporated in St Vincent and the Grenadines as an International Business Company | 23627 IBC 2016 |
The footer states that the landprime.com domain is owned and operated by Land Prime Ltd, the Mauritius-licensed company. The St Vincent company’s registered office is Suite 305, Griffith Corporate Centre, Kingstown. Your client agreement should name the company that holds your account; check that it’s Land Prime Ltd.
What the Mauritius licence does and doesn’t do
Does:
- Puts your account with a company the FSC Mauritius has authorised and regulates as an Investment Dealer.
- Gives you a regulator to complain to if the broker doesn’t resolve a dispute.
Doesn’t:
- Bring the EU’s 30:1 retail leverage cap or its protections (LandPrime offers up to 2,000:1).
- Provide a statutory investor compensation scheme like the UK FSCS or Cyprus ICF.
We relied on LandPrime’s footer for the licence; you can check the FSC Mauritius register yourself. How Mauritius compares with other offshore regulators: FSC Mauritius guide and broker licences explained.
Account-level protection
- Negative balance protection on Standard, ECN and Cent (LandPrime’s “Negative Balance Recovery System”).
- Margin call at 50%, stop-out at 30% on all accounts, so positions are closed relatively early.
- Automatic leverage reduction as equity or position size grows, and 200:1 margin around major news and the weekend: LandPrime leverage.
Background: negative balance protection explained.
Restricted countries
The footer says Land Prime Ltd doesn’t offer its services to residents of jurisdictions such as the USA, Cuba, Sudan, Syria and North Korea, or to listed parties on the UN Security Council consolidated sanctions lists. That list is shorter than many brokers’, so check the client agreement for others.
Japan FSA warning
Japan’s Financial Services Agency lists Land Prime Ltd., service name “LAND-FX”, among overseas firms it warned on 26 May 2015 for soliciting Japanese residents without registration (FSA list of unregistered firms). LandPrime now also runs a Japanese-language site. The warning concerns business with residents of Japan, not clients elsewhere, and many licensed offshore brokers appear on the same list: Japan’s FSA warning list explained.
Points to watch
- Withdrawal routes: crypto and card deposits are accepted, but the English page lists only e-wallet and bank-wire withdrawals, and deposits must go back by the same method first: LandPrime withdrawals.
- Unclear spreads: account pages don’t say whether spreads are minimums or averages: LandPrime account types.
- Small inconsistencies: the Cent account’s minimum deposit appears as both $5 and $10.
Our assessment
LandPrime has a real mid-tier offshore licence behind its website, negative balance protection and published leverage rules. The gaps are in transparency (spread basis, crypto withdrawal route), not in who regulates it. Start small, test a withdrawal by the method you plan to use, and compare with the safest brokers list.
