Axi Spreads by Account: EUR/USD, Gold and BTC

Updated 31 October 2026 · Written by Broker Atlas Broker Reviews Desk · Data checked by Broker Atlas Data Desk

Short answer

Axi publishes "from" spreads, not averages: EUR/USD from 0.68 pips and gold from $0.16 on Standard (no commission), and EUR/USD from 0.0 pips and gold from $0.09 on Premium, plus $4.50 round trip. BTC/USD is quoted from $12 per lot and ETH/USD from $1.25 per lot on both. Axi says spreads vary with the time of day and market conditions.

The spread: the gap between buy and sell: EUR/USD Sell (bid) 1.10000, Buy (ask) 1.10007, Spread 0.7 pips, Cost on 1 lot: $6.8
Axi's EUR/USD spread is 0.7 pips, so 1 lot costs about $6.8 the moment it opens (1 pip = $10 on 1 lot).
Axi trading cost: 1 lot of EUR/USD: Standard account $6.8, Raw / ECN account $5.5
What 1 lot of EUR/USD costs at Axi: $6.8 on the standard account, $5.5 on the raw account (spread plus round-trip commission). 1 pip = $10.

Published spreads by account

From Axi’s Standard vs Premium article, checked 31 October 2026:

Instrument Standard Premium
EUR/USD From 0.68 pips From 0.0 pips
Gold (XAU/USD) From $0.16 From $0.09
BTC/USD From $12 per lot From $12 per lot
ETH/USD From $1.25 per lot From $1.25 per lot
Commission None $4.50 round trip

“From” means the tightest spread Axi quotes, not what you’ll pay on average. Axi doesn’t publish average spreads on the pages we read. Premium is only offered to residents of selected Asian countries: see Axi account types.

Standard or Premium: a worked comparison

On one standard lot (100,000 units) of EUR/USD, a pip is worth about $10:

  • Standard at its minimum 0.68 pips: about $6.80 in spread, no commission.
  • Premium at 0.0 pips: $4.50 commission (round trip) plus whatever spread is quoted at the time.

So Premium is cheaper whenever its live spread plus $4.50 comes to less than Standard’s live spread. Both figures move, so compare them on your own pairs and hours. Background: spread basics, pips.

When spreads usually widen

Axi says spreads vary with the instrument, the time of day and economic or market conditions. It doesn’t publish a timetable, but its Higher Margin Requirement article names the periods it treats as high risk:

  • around the weekend market close;
  • around the daily session open and close (the rollover);
  • around major data releases such as NFP, CPI and interest-rate decisions.

Those are also the hours when spreads across the market tend to be widest, so check the live spread before trading them. See news trading.
