bitcastleFX is run by bitcastle LLC, a company registered in St Vincent and the Grenadines (900 LLC 2022), and names no financial regulator or licence number. Japan's Financial Services Agency warned bitcastle LLC in April 2025 for soliciting derivatives trading without registration. Its help centre says negative balances are reset to zero and client money is held in segregated bank accounts, but there's no regulator to check either claim. It also doesn't say it accepts clients outside Japan.
Can you use it at all?
Before safety comes eligibility. bitcastleFX’s FX service is in Japanese only, with yen accounts and a bonus limited to Japanese nationals, and it doesn’t say it accepts clients outside Japan. Its footer lists excluded countries (the US, Russia, China, Vietnam and others) but not a list of accepted ones. If you live elsewhere, get written confirmation from support before you deposit.
The company
From bitcastleFX’s site footer, read on 31 October 2026:
| What the site says | |
|---|---|
| Operator | bitcastle LLC |
| Registration | 900 LLC 2022 |
| Address | Euro House, Richmond Hill Road, Kingstown, St Vincent and the Grenadines |
| Financial licence | None named |
| Excluded residents (FX) | United States, Russia, China, Vietnam and others |
The same footer says bitcastle’s crypto and binary-option services aren’t offered to residents of Japan and other countries, while the FX and CFD service is marketed in Japanese to Japanese traders.
A company registration isn’t a forex licence. St Vincent and the Grenadines registers limited liability companies, but the registration number says nothing about supervision of trading. bitcastleFX’s help centre calls it a “regulated broker” without naming a regulator, so we can’t verify that statement. Compare licence tiers in broker licences explained.
The Japanese regulator’s warning
Japan’s Financial Services Agency publishes the names of unregistered overseas firms it has warned. Its list of unregistered overseas firms, updated 23 October 2026, includes:
- Firm: bitcastle LLC
- Warning: April 2025
- Reason: soliciting over-the-counter derivatives trading over the internet without registration
- Note: service name “bitcastleFX”; the address is the same as or similar to other warned firms
The warning concerns soliciting Japanese residents without a Japanese registration. For any client, it means no Japanese dispute or compensation scheme applies. Background: Japan’s FSA warning list explained.
Protections bitcastleFX describes
| Item | What the help centre says |
|---|---|
| Negative balance protection | For all clients; negative balances reset to zero automatically |
| Client money | Held in segregated accounts at established banks |
| Stop-out | 30% on Standard, 20% on Emperor |
Negative balance protection means you shouldn’t owe more than you deposited after a sharp move. But no bank, auditor or compensation scheme is named, and without a regulator there’s no one to enforce segregation. Treat both as the broker’s own promises: segregated funds and client protection and negative balance protection explained.
What this means in practice
- No licence, a regulator warning and unclear eligibility put bitcastleFX at the high-risk end of the brokers we cover.
- If you use it anyway, deposit a small amount and withdraw once early to check the process. Withdrawals cost ¥2,500 each and delete any bonus credit: bitcastleFX withdrawals.
- Ignore anyone who contacts you offering to “speed up” a withdrawal for a fee: how to spot a scam broker.
