International clients of M4Markets deal with Trinota Markets (Global) Ltd, regulated by the Seychelles FSA (SD035). The group's CySEC licence (Harindale Ltd, 301/16) covers only the EU site m4markets.eu, and its DFSA licence (Oryx Finance Ltd) covers Dubai. M4Markets says it holds client funds in segregated accounts, offers negative balance protection to retail clients and has a fund insurance policy of up to USD 1,000,000. We have not made deposits or withdrawals ourselves.
Who you are dealing with
| Company | Regulator | Licence | Serves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trinota Markets (Global) Ltd | Financial Services Authority, Seychelles | SD035 | International clients (m4markets.com) |
| Harindale Ltd | CySEC, Cyprus | 301/16 | EU, via m4markets.eu |
| Oryx Finance Ltd | DFSA, Dubai | F007051 | Dubai (DIFC) |
The CySEC register entry for Harindale Ltd lists the trade name M4Markets and www.m4markets.eu as the only approved domain. The footer also names VHTM Services Limited in Limassol, without a licence.
M4Markets’ support centre puts it plainly: “M4Markets is a trade name”, and services come from group companies each licensed in its own jurisdiction.
What M4Markets says it does for your money
- Segregated accounts: its support centre says that, under FSA rules, client funds are held in segregated accounts.
- Negative balance protection: offered “for all of our retail clients”; you can’t lose more than you deposited.
- Fund insurance: the homepage advertises a Fund Insurance Policy of up to USD 1,000,000, underwritten through Lloyd’s. We didn’t find the policy terms, so we can’t say which events or clients it covers. Insurance of this kind usually isn’t cover for trading losses.
- Audit: the footer says the group is audited by Deloitte (shown as a logo); we didn’t find a published audit report.
What the Seychelles licence does and doesn’t protect
It does mean a named company is licensed as a Securities Dealer and subject to FSA supervision and KYC rules.
It doesn’t give you CySEC’s Investor Compensation Fund, the EU’s 1:30 leverage cap or the UK’s FSCS. The 5,000:1 leverage on m4markets.com exists because the account is outside those regimes. Read offshore vs regulated brokers and the Seychelles FSA guide.
Our withdrawal record
We haven’t opened an account, deposited or withdrawn with M4Markets, so we have no record of our own. What M4Markets publishes: withdrawals are usually processed within 24 working hours, money goes back to the original method first, and a 3% fee applies if you withdraw without trading after a deposit. Details: M4Markets withdrawals.
What to check yourself
- The FSA Seychelles register entry for Trinota Markets (Global) Ltd (SD035), on the FSA’s site
- That your client agreement names the Seychelles company, not the CySEC or DFSA group companies
- Which banks hold client money and the insurance policy’s terms, which M4Markets doesn’t publish in full
Practical steps
- Make sure you’re on m4markets.com (international) or m4markets.eu (EU) and not a lookalike: scam check guide.
- Verify your identity before depositing much.
- Start small, trade, then make a test withdrawal.

Frequently asked questions
Is M4Markets legit?
M4Markets is a real, licensed group. The company that serves international clients, Trinota Markets (Global) Limited, is regulated by the Financial Services Authority of Seychelles under licence SD035. That is an offshore licence with lighter protection than CySEC or the FCA.
Does the CySEC licence protect me at M4Markets?
Only if you're a client of Harindale Ltd. CySEC's register lists m4markets.eu as its only approved domain. An account opened through m4markets.com is with the Seychelles company.
Can I lose more than I deposit with M4Markets?
M4Markets says no: it offers negative balance protection for all retail clients.
Is M4Markets on the FCA register?
We found no firm named M4Markets on the FCA register. That's expected for a broker that doesn't serve the UK; it doesn't mean the broker is unregulated elsewhere.
