XM Bonus Guide: Every Offer, Its Terms and How Withdrawals Work

Updated 30 October 2026 · Written by Broker Atlas Broker Reviews Desk · Data checked by Broker Atlas Data Desk

Short answer

XM Global offers a 100% deposit bonus that works as extra margin. The bonus itself can't be withdrawn, and profits made with it can be. Withdrawing money, or moving funds to an account that isn't bonus-eligible, removes the bonus in proportion. XM's account page marks only the Standard account as bonus-eligible.

XM's 100% deposit bonus: Deposit $500 + Bonus credit $500 = Trading balance $1,000. Withdrawable: Deposit; Not withdrawable: Bonus credit.
You trade with your deposit plus the bonus, but only your deposit and profits can be withdrawn. The bonus itself can’t be, and withdrawing may reduce or remove it. Check each broker’s terms.

What XM Global offers

XM Global’s bonus page describes one offer: a 100% deposit bonus that adds margin to your account so you can open larger positions or keep them open through a drawdown. The same conditions are printed under every section of that page:

  • Standard account only; some countries might be excluded.
  • Bonuses are not withdrawable.
  • Terms and conditions apply.

XM’s example shows two traders depositing $100, one of them with the 100% deposit bonus: the second trader starts with $200 of margin. Its help centre says current promotions are shown on the Promotions page and inside your account after you log in, so check there that the offer applies in your country.

Which accounts are eligible

Standard Yes (“some countries might be excluded”)
Ultra Low No
Shares No

If the bonus matters to you, open a Standard account. Ultra Low gives up the bonus in exchange for lower spreads; see XM account types.

The rules that matter when you withdraw

From XM’s help centre:

  1. The bonus can’t be withdrawn. It exists for trading only.
  2. Profits are yours. Profits earned using the bonus can be withdrawn at any time.
  3. Withdrawals cut the bonus in proportion. XM says withdrawing funds leads to a proportional removal of your trading bonus.
  4. Transfers move or cut it too. An internal transfer takes the bonus with it in proportion (move 50% of the balance and 50% of the bonus goes too). Moving funds to an account that isn’t bonus-eligible reduces the bonus in proportion.
  5. A cancelled or rejected withdrawal gives it back. XM says the removed bonus returns automatically.

Worked example

Say you deposit $200 and receive the 100% bonus: your balance is $200 and your credit $200.

  • You withdraw $100, half your balance. Under XM’s proportional rule, half the credit ($100) is removed. You are left with a $100 balance and $100 of credit.
  • If that withdrawal were rejected, the $100 would come back.

The practical point: withdrawing even part of your own money shrinks the cushion the bonus gave you, which brings a stop-out (20% margin level on the Standard account) closer if you have positions open.

Deposits from MyWallet still qualify

XM says that moving money from MyWallet (where earnings from XM programmes are held) to a trading account counts like any other payment method, so you remain eligible for deposit bonuses.

What XM Global doesn’t publish

  • A bonus cap or any trading-volume conditions for a specific country; XM shows the terms for yours after login.
  • The current rules of XM’s Traders Club, which is listed on the site without public terms.
  • Whether third-party rebate (cashback) services can be combined with the bonus, so ask support before you combine them.

Frequently asked questions

How much is the XM Global deposit bonus?

100% of your deposit, on the Standard account. XM notes that some countries might be excluded, so check the promotion shown in your account after you log in.

Can I withdraw the XM bonus?

No. XM says bonuses are for trading only and can't be withdrawn. Profits you make while trading with the bonus can be withdrawn at any time.

What happens to my bonus when I withdraw?

XM says a withdrawal reduces your bonus in proportion. If the withdrawal is cancelled or rejected, the removed bonus returns to your account automatically.

Which XM account gets the bonus?

XM Global's account page marks the Standard account as bonus-eligible, with a note that some countries might be excluded. Ultra Low and Shares accounts are marked as not eligible.
