HFM Bonus Guide: Every Offer, Its Terms and How Withdrawals Work

Updated 2 November 2026 · Written by Broker Atlas Broker Reviews Desk · Data checked by Broker Atlas Data Desk

Short answer

HFM pays a 20% top-up bonus on every deposit, up to $5,000 in total, but only on its Top-up Bonus account and only in countries where that account is offered. The bonus account is capped at 1,000:1 leverage. HFM has no no-deposit bonus, and its EU and UK companies can't offer bonuses to retail clients.

HFM’s bonus in brief

Item HFM (international clients)
Deposit bonus 20% on every deposit
Maximum bonus $5,000 in total
Eligible account Top-up Bonus account only
Leverage on the bonus account Up to 1,000:1 (other accounts up to 2,000:1)
No-deposit bonus None
Availability Varies by country

The terms come from TradingFinder’s HFM profile and match other recent reviews, which also note that availability depends on your country and account. A $1,000 deposit therefore adds $200 of bonus, and you reach the $5,000 cap after $25,000 of deposits. Promotions change, so check HFM’s promotions page in your client area for what applies to you.

Before you accept the bonus

Check these in HFM’s bonus terms:

  • whether it’s credit (not withdrawable) and what a withdrawal does to it
  • trading-volume conditions, if any, for profits
  • that you’ve opened the Top-up Bonus account, since other accounts don’t qualify
  • what cancels it (stop-out, transfer, inactivity)

Our bonus rules guide explains these.

Worked example: how a proportional bonus shrinks

Suppose a broker adds a 50% credit bonus to a $1,000 deposit, so your margin is $1,500. If you then withdraw $500, half of your deposit, a proportional rule removes half of the bonus too: $250. Your margin drops to $750, not $1,000. With open positions, that sudden fall can push your margin level towards stop-out. This is a common structure used to illustrate the risk; read HFM’s terms for its exact mechanism.

Bonus or lower costs?

The Top-up Bonus account gives up the Zero account’s raw pricing. At $6 per lot round trip, a Zero account trader who would otherwise pay a 1.4-pip spread saves about $8 per lot. Over 25 lots, that saving matches the $200 bonus on a $1,000 deposit. Frequent traders often do better without the bonus; occasional traders get more from the extra margin. Account details are on HFM account types.

Frequently asked questions

Does HFM have a deposit bonus?

Yes. HFM adds 20% to every deposit on its Top-up Bonus account, up to $5,000 of bonus in total. Availability varies by country, and HFM's other accounts don't receive it.

Why don't HFM's EU and UK sites show bonuses?

EU and UK rules stop brokers offering bonuses to retail CFD clients. Those rules apply to HFM's EU and UK companies, not to its offshore group companies.

What happens to a bonus when I withdraw?

At most brokers that offer deposit bonuses, a withdrawal reduces or removes the bonus, often in proportion to the amount withdrawn. Check the exact rule in HFM's bonus terms before you accept the offer.

Is a bonus worth it if I trade a raw-spread account?

HFM's bonus isn't available on the Zero raw-spread account, only on the Top-up Bonus account. Compare the bonus with the cost saving of a commission account before deciding.
