XM Deposit Methods: Fees, Processing Times and Crypto Options

Updated 30 October 2026 · Written by Broker Atlas Broker Reviews Desk · Data checked by Broker Atlas Data Desk

Short answer

XM Global accepts credit and debit cards, bank transfers, local transfers and e-wallets; the exact list for your country appears after you log in under Funding. The minimum is $5 for any account type (some methods ask for more), XM charges no deposit fees, and you can deposit in any currency, which is converted to your account's base currency. Deposits must come from an account in your own name.

Payment methods

XM Global’s help centre lists four groups of methods:

Method group Notes from XM
Credit and debit cards Card processors set the exchange rate on card transactions
Bank transfers XM covers its own bank’s fees on international wires of $200 or more
Local transfers Availability depends on your country
E-wallets Which wallets appear depends on your country

XM doesn’t publish a country-by-country list on its public site. To see the options for your account, log in to WebTrader or the XM App and open Funding → Deposit. Because of that, we can’t confirm whether crypto/USDT deposits or a specific Korean local method is offered. If you plan to fund with crypto, read our crypto deposit guide first.

Minimums

  • Standard and Ultra Low: $5
  • Shares: $10,000
  • Individual methods can have their own, higher minimums, shown in the Funding screen.
  • If your deposit currency isn’t USD, the minimum is the equivalent in that currency.

Fees and currencies

XM says it charges no deposit fees. You can deposit in any currency: all deposits are converted automatically into your account’s base currency, and exchange rates can be applied either by XM or by the payment processor. You can’t change an account’s base currency later, but you can open another account in a different currency.

Rules that can block a deposit

  • Own name only. XM says it can’t accept third-party payments. Deposits must come from accounts that belong to you.
  • Source matters later. Whatever you deposit by card or wallet is refunded to that source first when you withdraw, so avoid funding through a method you can’t receive money back on. See XM withdrawals.

Deposits and the bonus

On the Standard account, deposits qualify for XM’s 100% deposit bonus (XM notes that some countries might be excluded). Deposits from MyWallet count like any other method for bonus purposes. Ultra Low and Shares accounts are marked as not bonus-eligible. Details: XM bonus.

Moving money between accounts

XM says you can transfer instantly between your own verified trading accounts under Funding. Different base currencies are converted at XM’s live rate, and any bonus moves with the funds in proportion.
