LandPrime's maximum is 2,000:1 on FX and metals (Standard and Cent; ECN 1000:1), but only while equity is under $5,000 and open positions are under 10 lots. If either limit is crossed, leverage drops a tier: 1000:1, 500:1, 200:1, then 100:1 above $100,000 or 100 lots, and 50:1 when both are exceeded. Indices are 200:1, crypto 500:1, stocks 20:1. From 15 minutes before to 5 minutes after major news, and around the weekend close and open, new positions are margined at 200:1. Stop-out is 30%.
Maximum leverage by product
From LandPrime’s English margin and leverage page, read on 2 November 2026:
| Product | Examples | Max leverage |
|---|---|---|
| Forex | EURUSD, USDJPY, GBPUSD, USDCHF | 2000:1 |
| Commodities (metals) | XAUUSD, XAGUSD | 2000:1 |
| Indices | US100, SP500, JP225, HK50 | 200:1 |
| Cryptocurrency | BTCUSD, ETHUSD, XRPUSD | 500:1 |
| Stocks | AAPL, GOOG, NVDA | 20:1 |
These are product maximums. By account, Standard and Cent go up to 2,000:1 and ECN up to 1000:1 (account types).
The automatic adjustment policy (FX and metals)
LandPrime adjusts the maximum leverage on FX and metals based on account equity or open position size:
| Max leverage | Equity (USD) | Open positions | Rule |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2000:1 | 0 – 4,999 | Under 10 lots | Applies if one condition is met |
| 1000:1 | 5,000 – 29,999 | Under 20 lots | Applies if one condition is met |
| 500:1 | 30,000 – 49,999 | Under 50 lots | Applies if one condition is met |
| 200:1 | 50,000 – 99,999 | Under 100 lots | Applies if one condition is met |
| 100:1 | 100,000+ | More than 100 lots | Applies if one condition is met |
| 50:1 | 100,000+ | More than 100 lots | Applies only if both are met |
In practice you get the lower of the two tiers. With $3,000 of equity and 12 lots open, the lot count puts you in the 1000:1 tier, so 1000:1 applies. The policy doesn’t apply to energy, indices, crypto or stock CFDs, which keep their own fixed maximums.
Example. With $2,000 equity and 1 lot of EUR/USD at 1.10 ($110,000), margin at 2,000:1 is $55. Grow the account to $6,000 and the same lot needs $110 (1000:1). Check yours with the margin calculator.
When margin requirements rise
| Situation | Rule |
|---|---|
| News | From 15 minutes before until 5 minutes after major economic releases, margin for related instruments is calculated at a maximum of 200:1 |
| Weekends | New positions opened from 3 hours before the FX market closes until 2 hours after it reopens are margined at 200:1 |
| Holidays | Over weekends and major public holidays, margin may be increased, with prior notice on the announcements page |
A position you opened at 2,000:1 an hour before a release won’t need extra margin, but one opened during the window will. If you trade the news, size positions for 200:1: see news trading.
Stop-out and protection
- Margin call at 50% margin level and stop-out at 30% on all three accounts. That’s a higher stop-out than many brokers, so positions close earlier.
- Negative balance protection (“Negative Balance Recovery System”) on all accounts.
