Verdict: cheap raw pricing, simple line-up, offshore licence

ThreeTrader keeps things simple: two accounts, both ECN-style, MT4 and MT5, EAs allowed. Its selling point is cost, with a $4 round-turn commission on Raw Zero. It doesn’t do deposit bonuses; instead it pays rewards points for trading.

Good for

  • Cost-focused and active traders, including scalpers and EA users
  • Traders who want 1,000:1 on a small account (below $5,000 equity)
  • Traders who’d rather have low costs than a bonus

Not for

  • Bonus seekers
  • Anyone who wants a cent account or a very small first deposit ($100 minimum)
  • Traders who need a major regulator’s protection

Company and licence

From ThreeTrader’s footer and FAQ:

Company Regulator Number
ThreeTrader Global Limited Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC) 40430
ThreeTrader Global (MU) Pty Ltd Financial Services Commission, Mauritius GB24203958
ThreeTrader Limited BVI company (no licence stated) 1485025

The FAQ answers “Is ThreeTrader regulated?” with the VFSC licence 40430, and the footer’s copyright is ThreeTrader Global Limited, so we treat the Vanuatu company as the main operator. ThreeTrader Global Limited is also a member of The Financial Commission, an external dispute-resolution body. Restricted: the United States, Iran, North Korea and Myanmar.

What the licence does: puts a named, supervised company behind your account. What it doesn’t: Vanuatu and Mauritius don’t offer EU or UK-style compensation schemes or leverage caps. See is ThreeTrader safe? and the VFSC guide.

ThreeTrader doesn’t publish a spread table beyond these “from” figures. Its homepage shows live spreads, which change constantly, so we don’t quote them. Margin call starts at 80% and liquidation at 20% margin level. More: ThreeTrader account types.

Leverage depends on equity: 1,000:1 below $5,000, 500:1 from $5,000 on FX and gold, with gold, silver, oil and indices cut in the 30 minutes before weekend and holiday closes. See ThreeTrader leverage.

Funding and withdrawals

Deposit methods listed: local Japanese bank transfer (about 20 minutes), international bank transfer (1–3 business days, from $100), bitwallet and USDT (TRC20/ERC20). ThreeTrader charges no deposit or withdrawal fees (banks may). Withdrawals are processed within 1 business day and take up to 3 business days in total; USDT withdrawals are TRC20 only. Details: ThreeTrader deposits and withdrawals.

Bonus

No deposit bonus is running. The campaigns page shows only ended offers (a $20 voucher for Singapore residents in the first half of 2026, and a 2024 prize draw). The rewards programme gives 10 points per lot on FX and bullion and 1 point on oil, CFDs and crypto. See ThreeTrader bonus.

Risks and open questions

  • Offshore licences. We didn’t check the VFSC or FSC Mauritius registers for this review; the numbers come from ThreeTrader’s own site.
  • Spreads. No published average spreads, so cost comparisons rely on the commission and the “from” figures.
  • Which company you join. The site doesn’t say which of the two licensed companies serves which countries; your client agreement names it.
  • Rewards terms. The points-to-cash rate and full terms weren’t on the public page.

Bottom line

ThreeTrader is a lean, low-commission option for active traders who don’t care about bonuses. Its protection is offshore, so start with a modest deposit and test a withdrawal. On costs, Raw Zero’s $4 round turn is 0.4 pips per standard lot, so it beats Pure Spread whenever its raw spread is more than 0.4 pips tighter.
