Verdict: licensed, with a standard offshore package
Errante is a real, licensed brand: its EU arm is on the CySEC register and its international arm is licensed in Seychelles. For international clients the offer is a familiar offshore one: four account types from $50, leverage up to 1,000:1, a choice of MT4, MT5 or cTrader, negative balance protection and a tiered deposit bonus.
Good for
- Traders who want cTrader as well as MetaTrader
- Small accounts: the Standard account opens from $50
- Bonus users depositing up to $7,000
Not for
- Anyone who needs EU protection: that applies only to the CySEC company’s clients
What we’d do: if you’re outside the EU and considering Errante, read the client agreement on errante.com, confirm it names Errante Securities (Seychelles) Ltd, and start small.
Company and licences
| Company | Regulator | Licence | Website | Serves |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Errante Securities (Seychelles) Ltd | Financial Services Authority, Seychelles | SD038 | errante.com | International clients |
| Notely Trading Ltd | CySEC, Cyprus | 383/20 (since 3 February 2020) | errante.eu | EU (passported to 10 EEA countries) |
Errante’s licences page names both companies, and the CySEC register entry for Notely Trading Ltd lists www.errante.eu as its only approved domain. The EU company says 49.38% of its retail CFD accounts lose money.
What the Seychelles licence protects: a named company under FSA supervision and KYC rules. What it doesn’t: CySEC’s Investor Compensation Fund, the EU’s 1:30 retail leverage cap and EU negative balance protection apply only to Notely Trading’s clients. See the Seychelles FSA guide and the CySEC guide.
Accounts, costs and leverage
| Item | Errante (international clients) |
|---|---|
| Accounts | Standard, Premium, VIP, Tailor Made |
| Minimum deposit | $50 (Standard) |
| Maximum leverage | 1000:1 |
| Platforms | MT4, MT5, cTrader |
| Margin call / stop-out | 100% / 20% |
| Negative balance protection | Yes |
The account line-up, minimum and leverage are from Errante’s account types page; the margin levels and negative balance protection for Errante Securities (Seychelles) Ltd are from TradingFinder’s Errante profile. The EU site’s account types follow EU retail rules, which don’t apply to the Seychelles company.
A margin call at 100% means you’re warned as soon as equity falls to your used margin, well before the 20% stop-out closes positions. That’s an earlier warning than at many offshore brokers, which give the margin call at 50%.
Funding and withdrawals
Pay from accounts in your own name, expect withdrawals to go back to the deposit method first, and make a small test withdrawal before funding the account fully. Our deposit methods guide covers the usual options.
Bonus
Errante’s deposit bonus is tiered by deposit size:
| Deposit | Bonus |
|---|---|
| $50–500 | 15% |
| $501–1,500 | 20% |
| $1,501–3,000 | 25% |
| $3,001–7,000 | 30% |
EU rules bar bonuses for retail clients of the CySEC company, so the EU site doesn’t show it. Read what a withdrawal does to the credit before accepting it: how bonus rules work.
Risks to weigh
- Offshore protection only: the Seychelles company has no investor compensation scheme behind it
- Bonus credit: a withdrawal can reduce or remove it, which matters on a thin account
- The FSA Seychelles register entry for SD038: check it before depositing
What the licences mean for an international client
Errante’s CySEC licence covers only its EU company, Notely Trading Ltd. Clients of a CySEC firm can fall under Cyprus’s Investor Compensation Fund and EU leverage caps; an international client of the Seychelles company gets neither. The Seychelles FSA licence means that company is registered and supervised offshore, and your recourse in a dispute is the company and that regulator.
Before you sign up
- Check which company the client agreement names, and its licence number.
- Read the bonus terms and the withdrawal rules.
- Make a small deposit and a test withdrawal before trading larger sizes.
Errante’s EU site, errante.eu, shows CySEC-regulated terms such as lower leverage caps and no bonuses. Those don’t describe an account at the Seychelles company, so don’t use them to judge what you’d get at errante.com.
Bottom line
Errante’s licences check out, and its international offer (1000:1, $50 minimum, three platforms, negative balance protection and a modest bonus) is in line with other offshore brokers. Compare it with the rest: all brokers compared and safest brokers. Before any offshore account, run through our scam check guide.
