IS6FX says opening a real-money account takes about 5 minutes and is free: fill in the online form, confirm the e-mail, then wait for approval. To deposit and withdraw you verify with two documents: photo ID and a proof of address in your name dated within the last three months. One profile per person, with up to 5 additional accounts. It doesn't accept residents of the US, Russia, Iran, North Korea and other listed countries, and says its service isn't intended for residents of Japan.
Before you start: can you open one?
Check two things first.
- Your country. The footer of IS6FX’s English site says IS6 Technologies Ltd doesn’t serve residents, people located in, nationals or companies of Afghanistan, Côte d’Ivoire, Cuba, Iran, Libya, Myanmar, North Korea, Puerto Rico, Russia, Sudan, Syria, Yemen and the United States, “and any other jurisdiction where we are not authorized to operate”. It also says the service isn’t intended for residents of Japan. You must be 18 or over.
- Who you’re signing with. The operator is IS6 Technologies Ltd, a company registered in St Vincent and the Grenadines, and no financial licence is named on the site. Japan’s FSA warned the company in July 2026. Read is IS6FX safe? before you register.
Step 1: register
IS6FX’s account-opening FAQ says opening a real-money account is free and takes about 5 minutes:
- Click the account-opening button and fill in each field of the application form. IS6FX asks for entries in half-width (standard Latin) characters.
- You receive a registration confirmation e-mail.
- Once IS6FX approves the application, the account is created and you can log in to My Page.
You choose the account type when you open it. That choice is permanent: IS6FX says you can’t change the account type of an existing account, and leverage can’t be altered, so pick carefully. Compare the six types first in IS6FX account types.
Step 2: verify your identity
To deposit and withdraw, IS6FX asks for two documents:

The document lists still name Japanese documents (residence card, My Number card, seal certificate), a sign of where the site started. Outside Japan, a passport plus a recent utility or phone bill is the straightforward combination. Upload through My Page.
Step 3: additional accounts
IS6FX allows one registration per person (individuals and companies), but you can open up to 5 additional accounts from My Page. That’s how you switch account type, or separate, say, a bonus-eligible Standard account from a commission-based ECN account. Step 4: fund and log in to MetaTrader
- Deposit from My Page by card, STICPAY, Skrill, Neteller or crypto, from $10: see IS6FX deposits.
- Log in to MT4 or MT5 with the account number, password and server shown in My Page. The 2000x Leverage and Crypto accounts are MT5 only.
After opening: fees and rules to know
- Inactivity fee: $10 a month after three months without trading (two months on professional accounts).
- Automatic closure: accounts not accessed for 90 days with a balance at or below $10 (or the equivalent) are closed automatically and can’t be restored.
- Prohibited trading: IS6FX’s guidelines ban latency arbitrage, cross-account hedging, trading only around major news releases, and “trading in large lots without prior notice”, among others.
