IronFX Review: Licences, Costs and the Fine Print

Updated 31 October 2026 · Written by Broker Atlas Broker Reviews Desk · Data checked by Broker Atlas Data Desk

Short answer

IronFX's two confirmed licences cover regulated regional companies: Notesco Financial Services Ltd (CySEC 125/10, EU, ironfx.eu) and Notesco UK Ltd (FCA 585561, UK, ironfx.co.uk). The international site, ironfx.com, was not reachable on 31 October 2026: its public DNS record pointed to a non-routable address. International clients deal with a BVI company, Notesco (BVI) Ltd, offering up to 1000:1, a $100 minimum and up to 100% deposit bonuses. Until the official international site is back, treat any other 'IronFX' domain with caution.

Verdict: wait until the international site is back

IronFX is a long-running brand with real EU and UK licences. Its international offer, from Notesco (BVI) Ltd, is a classic high-leverage, high-bonus package: seven account types, up to 1000:1, a $100 minimum and deposit bonuses of up to 100%. But the site that serves international clients, ironfx.com, wasn’t reachable on 31 October 2026.

Our view for now

  • If you’re in the EU or UK, IronFX’s regulated companies have their own sites (ironfx.eu, ironfx.co.uk) and are on the CySEC and FCA registers.
  • If you’re anywhere else, we’d wait until the official international site is working again before opening an account: a BVI company gives you none of the EU or UK protections.
  • Be wary of lookalike domains while the main site is down. Check any address against the regulator registers below.

Company and licences

What the regulators’ own registers show:

Company Regulator Licence Approved website(s) Serves
Notesco Financial Services Ltd (formerly IronFX Global Ltd) CySEC, Cyprus 125/10 (since 16 November 2010) www.ironfx.eu, www.fxlift.eu EU
Notesco UK Ltd FCA, UK 585561 (authorised since 17 June 2013) www.ironfx.co.uk UK

Both companies appear on their regulators’ registers: the CySEC register entry and the FCA register (firm reference 585561). The UK site’s footer confirms “IronFX is a trade name of Notesco UK Limited”, FCA 585561, and excludes residents of the USA, Iran, Cuba, Sudan, Syria and North Korea.

The FCA register also shows an older entry, Notesco Financial Services Ltd (FCA 541486, known as IronFX), as no longer authorised; that was the Cyprus company’s UK passport.

What these licences protect: clients of the CySEC company get EU rules (leverage caps, negative balance protection, the Cyprus Investor Compensation Fund); clients of the FCA company get UK rules. What they don’t: an account with a non-EU, non-UK IronFX company. International accounts are with Notesco (BVI) Ltd, outside both. See is IronFX safe? and the CySEC guide.

The ironfx.com outage

On 31 October 2026, the public DNS records for ironfx.com and www.ironfx.com returned 127.0.0.1, so the site couldn’t load from anywhere. The EU and UK sites resolved normally. We don’t know the cause or whether IronFX has announced a replacement address. Until IronFX confirms an official address through a channel you already trust, don’t log in or deposit through a new domain you find in search results or ads. Our scam check guide explains how to verify a site.

Accounts and costs

International clients choose from seven account types: Standard, Premium, VIP and Zero Fixed Spread with fixed pricing, plus STP/ECN No Commission, Zero Spread and Absolute Zero with variable pricing. The minimum deposit is $100, leverage reaches 1,000:1 on Standard accounts, and the platforms are MT4, MT5 and WebTrader. The EU and UK sites show their own, regulated conditions (EU leverage is 30:1), which don’t apply to international clients.

Funding and withdrawals

The UK site lists cards, bank wire, Skrill, Neteller and FasaPay for its own clients; the international client area shows the methods for your country. Pay from accounts in your own name and test a withdrawal early.

Bonus

IronFX offers international clients three deposit bonuses: a 100% Unlimited Sharing Bonus, a 40% Power Bonus and a 20% Iron Bonus. All are trading credit and can’t be withdrawn. EU and UK rules restrict bonuses for retail clients, so the regional sites don’t show them. How credit bonuses behave on withdrawal: how bonus rules work.

Risks to weigh

  • An offshore company: Notesco (BVI) Ltd isn’t covered by the CySEC or FCA licences
  • Access while ironfx.com is down: existing international clients should use contact details from their client agreement
  • Non-withdrawable bonuses: credit that disappears on withdrawal can push a thin account towards stop-out
  • Temporary domains: only an address a regulator lists, or one IronFX confirms through a channel you already trust, is official

Bottom line

IronFX’s EU and UK companies are on their regulators’ registers. For everyone else, the offer is a BVI account with high leverage and credit bonuses, and its main site is offline, so we can’t recommend opening an account. If someone sends you an IronFX link on another domain, don’t log in or deposit until IronFX confirms it.

Frequently asked questions

Is IronFX regulated?

Parts of the group are. Notesco Financial Services Ltd is licensed by CySEC (125/10) for the EU, with ironfx.eu and fxlift.eu as approved domains. Notesco UK Ltd is authorised by the FCA (585561) and runs ironfx.co.uk. International clients are served by Notesco (BVI) Ltd, a BVI company outside those licences.

Is the IronFX website down?

On 31 October 2026, ironfx.com and www.ironfx.com did not load: public DNS resolvers returned 127.0.0.1, an address that points back to your own computer. The EU (ironfx.eu) and UK (ironfx.co.uk) sites did resolve.

Can I use ironfx.eu or ironfx.co.uk from outside Europe?

Those sites belong to the EU and UK companies, which serve their own regions under EU and UK rules (for example lower leverage). They are not the international offer.

What leverage and bonus does IronFX offer international clients?

Up to 1,000:1 on Standard accounts through Notesco (BVI) Ltd, and three deposit bonuses: a 100% Unlimited Sharing Bonus, a 40% Power Bonus and a 20% Iron Bonus. The bonuses can't be withdrawn.
